Who We Are
Dr. Fonseca is a Latina from Los Angeles, California, and the first in her family to attend college and graduate school. With over ten years of experience advising and supporting students in higher education, she guides students through their academic journeys while building inclusive communities where students feel they belong. She encourages the integration of wellness into academic excellence, recognizing that true success encompasses both scholarly achievement and personal well-being.
Sierra is from San Jose, California and earned their M. Ed. from San Jose State University. They identify as queer and neurodivergent. With a background in K-12 education, Sierra discovered their true passion in student affairs, where they have worked as a programming coordinator, supervisor, and advisor. Sierra is dedicated to creating inclusive, engaging student services that promote equity, belonging, and personal growth.
