Study Abroad Programs for MIMG Students

MIMG students should work with Study Abroad Advisors, MIMG Advisors, and Advisors from their College Counseling Unit to make a study abroad plan that works with their graduation timeline.

Steps to Get Started in Study Abroad

  1. Review your remaining UCLA degree requirements (MIMG major and UCLA/non-major).
  2. Explore UCLA study abroad programs, especially programs with coursework in biological sciences and/or programs with pre-health coursework (see recommendations below). Look for options that are comparable to your current remaining degree requirements.
  3. Schedule a virtual office hours appointment with a UCEAP/study abroad advisor if you have questions about programs and/or support locating course syllabi.
  4. If looking to take 1+ courses abroad to fulfill MIMG major requirements, please contact MIMG major advisors with the institution name, course name, and a syllabus copy, if available.
  5. If looking to take 1+ courses abroad to fulfill non-major UCLA requirements, please contact Advisors from your College Counseling Unit to discuss your course planning abroad.

Please see the Study Abroad for MIMG Majors Flyer for additional details and information.
