Dr. Owen N. Witte recipient of the AACR Award for Outstanding Achievement in Blood Cancer Research

The Harrington Discovery Institute at University Hospitals, in collaboration with the American Society for Clinical Investigation, has awarded Dr. Owen Witte the twelfth annual Harrington Prize for Innovation in Medicine.

Dr. Witte, MIMG Faculty member, member of the UCLA Health Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the founding director emeritus of the Eli and Edythe Broad Center of Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research at UCLA, received this award in recognition of his groundbreaking discoveries that have fundamentally transformed the treatment of leukemia, lymphoma, and other cancers.

As part of this honor, Dr. Witte will deliver the Harrington Prize Lecture at the 2025 AAP/ASCI/APSA Joint Meeting, scheduled for April 25-27, and he will also be a featured speaker at the 2025 Harrington Scientific Symposium on May 21-22.
