Graduate Student Jonathan Jih receives Schering Graduate Student Award

We are thrilled to announce the recipient of the 2023-2024 Schering Graduate Student Award: Jonathan Jih (Dr. Hong Zhou's Lab)!

This award, valued at $10,000, recognizes outstanding achievements in graduate student research.

Jonathan shares with us that he is incredibly humbled to be the 2024 Schering recipient. Moreover, he is grateful to the awesome mentors in his life who believe in him and have given him the opportunity to advance world-class research in structural virology. "This award will further support my current work, which employs a cryoEM-based approach to study and one day target therapeutics against a birth defect and cancer-causing lineage of herpesviruses."
