Mission Statement

Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) is a major goal of both DGSOM and the Division of Life Sciences, and we are uniquely positioned in our need to meet the JEDI goals of both organizations.  The MIMG department is seeking to increase the diversity of our faculty, staff (both administrative and laboratory), postdoctoral researchers, graduate students, and undergraduates.  We will work to create and assess whether there is an inclusive environment that supports all members to reach their best potential. This JEDI page includes information on our action plan as well as past accomplishments in the JEDI space.  We encourage you to reach out of the Co-JEDI Vice Chairs, Drs. Amanda Freise and Beth Lazazzera, as well as members of the MIMG JEDI Committee, with any questions, concerns, or suggestions.

MIMG JEDI Committee Members

The MIMG JEDI Committee is composed of stakeholders from every group in our department, including faculty, administrative staff, research staff, graduate students, and postdoctoral scholars.
