This symposium brings together leading experts from UCLA, Kyoto University, and Academia Sinica to discuss cutting-edge research in various fields of biomedical sciences. 

The event will focus on emerging topics such as tumor immunology, systems biology, chemical biology, and boron neutron capture therapy.

Organized by the California NanoSystems Institute at UCLA, the UCLA Department of Microbiology, Immunology, & Molecular Genetics, the Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences at Kyoto University, and Academia Sinica, this meeting aims to foster international collaboration and innovation in biomedical research.

MIMG Faculty Meetings:

Third Tuesday of every month, 1:30 pm to 3 pm PST in a hybrid format (in person at BSRB 283 and Zoom).

MIMG Happy Hour:

Beginning in January and continuing every other month, an MIMG lab hosts a happy hour for all MIMG labs. Happy hours typically take place from 4 pm to 6 pm in the Molecular Sciences Building courtyard.

Beginning in February and continuing every other month, the Department hosts coffee hour for all MIMG members. Coffee hour is usually held from 2 pm to 3 pm in the Molecular Sciences Building courtyard.

The MIMG Seminar Committee hosts monthly seminars in the academic year typically held on the first Wednesday of the month with the expectation in January and February (click on the MIMG Seminar Series flyer to view more information on dates, location, and speakers).

MIMG Department Annual Retreat:

The MIMG departmental retreat usually takes place in September. Our department aims to foster community development by bringing everyone together in one space to understand each other's needs and promote a shared vision. This time and space we share provides an opportunity to connect with colleagues and take a break from our daily work routine. It offers a unique and refreshing experience as we prepare for the start of the new academic year.
