Postdoctoral Scholar Fumiaki Ito awarded K22 Career Transition Award from NIH

Congratulations to Postdoctoral Scholar Fumiaki Ito for being awarded the K22 Career Transition Award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). 

Fumiaki mentioned that the K22 Career Transition Award will provide funding for two years to support his research on HIV and help him transition to an independent investigator. With this funding, he plans to use cutting-edge cryo-electron microscopy (cryoEM) technology to gain comprehensive structural insights into HIV accessory proteins and their interactions with host factors. The information expected from his research will uncover new targets for developing future antiretroviral therapeutics.
