The MIMG Undergraduate students’ project entitled "Dirt's Hidden Defenders: Antibiotic Production in the Rhizosphere of Sage Hill," has been announced as the winner of the Library Prize for Undergraduate Research in Science, Engineering, and Math.

The UCLA Library Prize for Undergraduate Research recognizes and honors excellence in undergraduate research at UCLA. Congratulations to Maddie, Esteffani, Kyra, Mordecai, and everyone who contributed to their success.

Esteffani shares that "this project has taught me many technical and critical thinking skills that I will take with me beyond my undergraduate career. I am very thankful to the entire instructional team, who continue to guide us every step of the way, and for the friends I have been able to make through this wonderful learning experience."
