Counseling


Undergraduates

Counseling is available to current undergraduate students majoring in Pre-MIMG or MIMG, and any other undergraduates interested in learning more about the Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics major.

The MIMG Student Affairs Officer is Bridget Wells, and the MIMG Student Affairs office is located at 1602B Molecular Science Building. Drop-in counseling is available during the following times:

Monday thru Friday
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

But appointments are preferred, and students without appointments may be asked to come back later.  Call or email to set an appointment.

The MIMG Student Affairs office is closed every day 12:00 – 1:00 P.M.

COLLEGE COUNSELING

If you are in College Honors, contact the Honors Office.

If you in the Academic Advancement Program (AAP), contact the AAP Office.

Prospective Graduate Students – Ph.D.

The MIMG Ph.D. program is currently not admitting students.

Prospective Ph.D. students should refer to the Immunity, Microbes, and Molecular Pathogenesis Home Area for information on how to apply to Ph.D. programs that are similar to MIMG - http://immp.mbi.ucla.edu/admissions

Prospective Graduate Students – Master's

Prospective Master's students should first review the admissions information on this site (http://mimg.ucla.edu/ms_pages/admission.html ) before directing questions to bridgetw@microbio.ucla.edu.

Current Graduate Students – Ph.D. and Master's

In-person counseling is available only to current MIMG Ph.D. and Master's students.
