Postdoctoral Fellows:

1) Full-time position for a Ph.D. candidate or graduate who currently resides in the United States to develop and expand ongoing studies in the UCLA Department of Microbiology, Immunology & Molecular Genetics investigating mechanisms of host pathogen interactions using viral pathogens in vivo mouse models and mammalian cell culture models of infection. Previous research experience in virology and molecular biology is required. We are particularly seeking an applicant with previous research experience in viral life cycle and/or host pathogen interactions.

2) Full-time position for a Ph.D. candidate or graduate who currently resides in the United States to develop and lead ongoing studies in the UCLA Department of Microbiology, Immunology & Molecular Genetics investigating mechanisms of hematopoiesis and stem cell biology in infection using in vivo mouse models. Previous research in hematopoiesis especially using a murine model of immune cell development is particularly required for this position.

This is a unique opportunity to work across different disciplines in a newly renovated research laboratory. Our laboratory has recent work published in Science Signaling, Journal of Clinical Investigation, and Nature Immunology.
